NoBadDays - About

Jess Lacroix is a Canadian multi-disciplinary creative based in Australia, whose artistic focus ranges from film photography to designing and building skateboard decks to mural painting pieces and bespoke graphic design commissions. Working internationally, under the name NoBadDays, Jess' inspiration is fuelled by travel, surf, skate, neon signs, foreign cities and familiar passions.

Having exhibited photographic and painted works in California, New York City, Reykjavik (Iceland), Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Auckland, Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Byron Bay, and Melbourne, her work has appeared on buildings, textiles, prints, surf and skate boards.

After completing her Masters of Fine Arts between Canberra (The Australian National University) and her home-city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Jess launched an international clothing and skateboard brand, founded a fine arts teaching program for children, while travelling as a freelance graphic designer working with notable festivals, fashion designers and musicians offering album artwork design, videography, logo articulation and visual identity branding, custom typography and unique creative commission projects through NoBadDays design studio.

A common thread laced through Jess' widely multidisciplinary scope of work - from custom surfboard linework to film photography documentaries to produced to compliment her published writing work - is her thriving inspiration through travel and nature to feed and influence her production, in abandoning the norm and convention, and in finding beauty in the inordinate.
